Fox!

We thought the poop we'd found may have been fox scat so Jamie set up the wildlife camera and after a couple of nights filming here it is! It's rather a brief video, but no mistaking that bushy tail.

This was at about midnight.
We did know that a fox used to visit about 15 years ago but this is the first time we've actually seen it. It seems to have marked it's territory at both ends of the allotment, our side of the hedge alongside the canal - I think our pheasant chicks may end up on the menu but in the meantime there are plenty of slugs and snails to enjoy!

(The only other passers-by were a couple of plotholders, a huge moth and a ginger cat...!)
