Two for Joy
That title is from the rhyme about magpies. These two didn't provide joy for our friendly robin, because they ate lots of the food we put out for him.
We found quite a few grubs while we were digging today. These two appear to be caterpillars though.
I think this is an Angle Shades moth larva.
I'm not sure what this one is - the general consensus (on Google+) seems to be that this is a Agonopterix scopariella. It will become a micro-moth. It's only little, nice colouring I think.

Did you feed the grubs to the Robin?
ReplyDeleteWell, I threw them to the hedge, off the plot!
