Feathered Friends and a Room for One

After the not-so-successful birdwatch at the end of January, we've seen many more birds on the plot recently. We have 3 robins who are enjoying the mealworms we take up whenever we visit and this weekend we've had this lovely male blackbird as well.

His feathers are so clean and smooth. His orange beak and around his eye really stand out.

Jamie found a ladybird today so we put it in the bug hotel - doesn't seem like good weather for ladybirds yet!
