Small White Butterfly pupa
We found this chrysalis attached to our cabbage netting on the plot today. We took it home to so it can emerge in the communal gardens rather than on the allotment site :-)
Pretty sure it will develop into a small white butterfly. There were a lot of green ("cabbage white" and "angle shades") butterfly caterpillars on site.

Brilliant markings when you see it in macro! I guess that bit will be a wing! And I like the little bed it made with a tiny strand holding it in place; it's also attached at its tail end.
