Duck! Well, actually Four Ducks!

It's that time of year again... the ducks are on the hunt for females. They fly around scanning the area, as we're close to the canal and swoop in to the allotment. We haven't come across any actually on the allotment yet this year, but soon they'll be here. The poor females! They get mobbed by gangs of males; making a dreadful noise and trampling anything that gets in their way.
Several plotholders have found eggs on rough areas of their plots but I haven't seen any ducklings on site - yet.

These are four mallards. Look out girls!!
