Two Little Ducks!

Being next door to the canal means we get mallard ducks. The first year on the allotment (2009) people found duck eggs on their plots so we do tend to get the same ducks (plus their offspring) each year.
These two prefer to sit on the blue plastic in a puddle rather than on the canal!

They can be a problem for unprotected seedlings as they tramp through, however, they are quite good and usually use the paths. The bigger problem is when a female has several males trying to mate with her!
