Peppered Moth Caterpillar

I found this little caterpillar in the raspberry bushes - it was less than 2cm long.
I probably wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't walked away with this classic caterpillar looping movement!
It has great camouflage for roses and similar looking plants because of its stick-like shape, wedge-shaped head and the thorny looking front legs.

    1. Thanks Rooko - I do love the supermacro on my camera - it's only a compact camera so I don't have to lug loads of equipment round!
Saying that, thank goodness for digital cameras rather than a 36 shot roll of film!!
