Slow Worm

So great to see a slow worm Anguis fragilis! We have seen two this year, though none on our plot. This was found in Les's compost bin on the Marsh Lane Allotment site.
Hope we see a few more of them around - more information here.
They eat slugs and snails and are a legless lizard, not a snake (though, not too sure why that matters!)

    1. Apparently laying a bit of corrugated iron can tempt them in - not sure what else could be tempted too though!
