Peacock Butterfly

We don't see as many Peacock butterflies as I remember seeing as a child, but they do like the marigolds on our allotment and this time I was actually able to photograph this one.

The butterfly conservation site confirms that they generally lay eggs and larvae eat nettles, so they're not a problem on the allotment.
