Tiger Crane Fly

It's fairly obvious where this gets its name - it's lovely shiny body! It's quite beautiful up close Nephrotoma flavescens
I didn't realise there were different types of crane fly until I found this and had to look it up. The adult crane fly doesn't eat but the juvenile leather jackets cause damage to lawns (mostly).
