Pheasant

There are a lot of pheasants on Marsh Lane. In the winter months as we walk through the plots we are often startled by them panicking to get away from us - we've also had to free them from netting before. The males are so beautiful though!

They are an enemy of most allotment holders - they're very destructive and have stripped people's sweetcorn and brassicas.
