Small White Butterflies

These small whites are the bane of a brassica-growers life! In the Summer there are dozens of them flying around our site and they are always landing on brassicas to lay their eggs.

The caterpillars are the things that cause the damage. They can wipe out whole plants overnight. We've found that enviromesh is the only solution. Other netting can work but often they manage to find their way in to a netted area and then a vegetable cage becomes a butterfly farm!!
